This is an introductory demo and hands-on workshop in gel transfer printmaking.

Gel transfer printing is a simple monotype printing process that uses liquid acrylic medium to transfer the toner for laser copies of images to a substrate such as canvas, wood, mylar, or plexiglass.

Each participant will have the opportunity to create at least one gel transfer print on the provided substrates; a selection of images, substrates, and all other materials necessary for the creation of gel transfer prints will be provided. In addition, the instructor will provide a selection of drawing media for participants who wish to experiment with mixed-media adaptations of gel transfer prints.

Gel Transfer Process 3

This workshop is open to participants 15 years and older, no experience required.

By the end of the workshop, each participant should have completed at least one gel transfer print (which they can take home), and should have basic proficiency in this print making process, so that they can continue to experiment with it at their leisure.
