A 2-DAY CLAY WORKSHOP
WHEN: February 2016: Monday the 15th, 11-3pm & Sunday the 21st, 11am -1pm

INSTRUCTOR: Jessica Sallay-Carrington
In this workshop the participants will learn the process of making plates, bowls and flower pots by taking molds from household objects, adding sculptural elements onto the vessels.
Jessica will begin the first day with a short demonstration of the process and show some examples, then the rest of the workshop everyone will be provided with the clay and tools to make 1-4 vessels. Techniques using slabs, coils and stamps, and how to add sculptural elements onto the vessels.
This workshop is open to all ages and all levels of ceramic experience.
Each participant will leave with 1-4 unique pottery pieces, and the knowledge of how to use this technique for future projects.
